Hi! My name is Danielle Jeffers. I’m the founder of Dough 4 Degrees, LLC, a remote scholarship coaching company, and sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Multimedia Journalism, Entrepreneurship, and Cinema. I founded Dough 4 Degrees in January of 2016 after earning over $100,000 in scholarships to cover the cost of my undergraduate education. Since our inception, Dough 4 Degrees has helped more than 30 students and their families earn over $60,000 in scholarships.

After graduating in 2019, I hope to travel, speak, and write as an independent scholarship consultant. My work alongside education officials will teach students, parents, and institutions how to earn scholarships to fund their higher education. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a degree without acquiring a crippling amount of debt.

According to StrengthsQuest, my strengths are: achiever, learner, responsibility, focus, and self-assurance. In my opinion, the descriptions attached to those words accurately describe me. I strive to push myself past my comfort zone on a daily basis with the goal to learn something new. I credit my parents for teaching me how to be confident in my ability to succeed in life and various endeavors. However, there are weakness to my strengths. For instance, responsibility often leads to late nights and early mornings because I commit to too many opportunities.

If I am selected as a Keystone Fellow, I hope to connect with students and leaders who are willing to engage in initiatives that better our community. For me, this honor is bigger than myself. It is an opportunity to work towards goals that will help thousands of students, parents, faculty, and administration today and in the future.
